Psychiatry deals with the diagnosis and treatment of disorders/misadjustments in thoughts, emotions and behaviors that occur for various reasons, whether there is any detectable damage in examinations and tests (such as dementia) or not (such as depression). Using clinical interviews, examinations, laboratory tests and imaging methods for diagnosis, psychiatry treats the diagnosed disorders with pharmacotherapy (medication) and psychotherapy (mental therapy) methods. It also guides individuals undiagnosed with a disease, but who need to consult a specialist about relationship problems or various life events.
