Visitor Policy

Patient visits should be carried out in accordance with the procedures and principles determined in our hospital and any acts or attitudes that would cause disturbance to the peace and tranquility of the patients should be avoided. We would like to emphasize that you should not visit patients without getting information from our healthcare professionals.

  1. Patient visits are performed in the visiting hours determined by our hospital. Visiting hours are arranged by considering the care and rest times of our patients.
  2. The duration of visit in the patient room should not be too long to protect the health of the patient. For this reason, make sure that the duration of the visit is limited to 10 minutes and that there are no more than 2 visitors in the room.
  3. In order to prevent noise pollution for the health of patients, mobile phones should be used in silent mode in the hospital.
  4. People with complaints such as fever, cough, sneezing and sputum production and people with any infectious disease, or chronic disease, and people who are susceptible to infections should not visit patients in hospital. Also, children under 12 years of age should not be brought into the hospital environment for any reason unless they are sick because their body resistance is weaker than adults. However, in some cases, the patient's children and siblings may be allowed to visit, provided that they comply with the infection control principles, since the patient visit has positive effects on the patient's recovery.
  5. Visiting restrictions may be imposed in special cases in which the doctor of your patient does not allow patient visits, in the presence of an epidemic in the community, or on patients with suppressed immune systems. For your patient's health, please do not insist to visit in such cases.
  6. Smoking is prohibited in health institutions.
  7. To protect the health of your patient, please do not bring any food or beverage from outside, as a patient-specific diet is planned.
  8. Do not bring flowers in pots or bouquets to be put in a vase. These flowers are not accepted in patient services as they pose an infection risk for your patient. The flowers that are brought are taken by the information desk service and delivered to your patient during discharge.
  9. During the visit, do not touch the objects/areas in the environment, the equipment connected to the patient and do not sit on the patient bed to protect your and the patient's health.
  10. Pay attention to your hand hygiene before and after the visit. Wash and/or disinfect your hands.
  11. When you see a warning hanging on the patient room door before the visit, do not enter the patient's room without talking to the nurse.
  12. In cases requiring contact with the isolated patient, follow the instructions given by the healthcare personnel in taking the necessary precautions in accordance with the category of isolation.
