7M Hospital laboratory provides service 24/7. In our laboratory, our professional team of experienced biochemistry and microbiology specialists serve our patients and clinicians with advanced analysis devices. As in most laboratories, tests that are not performed in our hospital are carried out through service procurement. Our laboratory tests were found to be reliable at international standards in the internal quality and external quality inspections. Clinical biochemistry is a branch of science which analyzes various fluids, secretions, and tissue samples of the body at the level of molecular level for the purpose of diagnosing diseases, distinguishing similar diseases from each other and analyzing the disease processes. In other words, it is a laboratory science specific to medicine and clinical studies. In order to diagnose the disease in the clinic, the biochemical analysis results should be in coherence with the available data. Negative or positive results obtained in clinical biochemistry can support, guide, or lead the diagnosis of the disease. Clinical findings and biochemical analysis findings do not only complement each other, but also become integrated as one. Each alone cannot be sufficient in the diagnosis of the disease. In addition to its complementary role in the diagnosis of diseases, clinical biochemistry has a great importance in the preventive medicine. The parameters obtained as a result of clinical biochemical tests conducted before the person experiences any symptoms, help to predict diseases that tend to occur in the future and to take the necessary precautions. Clinical microbiology deals with identified disease-causing microorganisms. These microorganisms may be the ones present in common diseases, as well as zoonoses transmitted from animals, those contaminated from food, and those widely found in nature which exhibit opportunistic pathogenic features. Since bacteria, viruses and fungi can exist together, each of them should be considered and examined separately when analyzing disease factors. Clinical Microbiology initially analyzes bacteria. In this analysis, information is obtained about general characteristics of bacteria, laboratory diagnostic methods and results, diseases they cause, epidemiology, media used for prevention, treatment, and identification. Culture and antibiogram tests are evaluated and finalized by the microbiologist.
